Oh happy day!

Well, today was such a good day at 1:30. Before that, was not good though. I had my last two finals at school, and Biology was one of them. The other was Health, easy, I have an A in the class. But Biology, holy crap. I'm so scared to know what grade I got on that. 180 questions! That's insane, I know! My teacher is crazy! I swear I guessed on at least 80%. Great. Oh boy, I'd be lucky if I get a D. I'd be satisfied with that though, because I have a C in the class, so it might now go down that much with a D? I don't know. All I know was Bio was just not fun. Not at all.

But, on the happy note, finals are all OVER! I'm so relieved! No homework, studying. or any school-related things to worry about for the weekend. Plus, we have tomorrow off school, so it's a long weekend! (: I got home, had some Bagels and Brew, then took a shower and got ready for Tesoro's Winter Formal. Well, I didn't go, but I went to my best friends' (and small group girls!) pictures and they're just so lovely, they even wanted me to stay for their dinner at Peppinos. The location was beautiful, on the Mission Viejo Lake. And I lovedlovedloved taking pictures of them, because they looked gorgeous!

Brittany, Torey and Andrea

Oh, I love them

Andrea looks like a little porcelain doll

Most of the group. These were the only people I knew in it

Jenna, Torey and Rachel, my Small group girls! (minus Andrea)

They're so cute

Strike a pose!

There's more but these are most of the good ones. Oh, it was such a fun day! Except, right now, I have a bad stomach ache from all the great food at Peppino's :(

Swingin' down memory lane

On Saturday, I went to the gym in my neighborhood at this place called the Clubhouse. The Clubhouse consists of a gym, tennis courts, swimming pools, a basketball court, a park, a little gazeeboh (however you spell that) and a party room and some other fun stuff for Canyon Crest residents. In sixth grade, the park was me and my friends' main place to hangout.

I hadn't been to the park in forever, since they remodeled it last year. I was so mad that they remodeled it. Me and my friends carved our names in the top of the slide, my friends who had boyfriends at the time, carved their initials and all that. It was a fun little place where we had a ton of memories. And that's why I was so upset that they remodeled it.

I finally went to the park on Saturday morning, after I was done at the gym, because I had a lot of time on my hands before I walked home, and I was interested in what it now looked like. And to be honest, it's so cool! For like, 20 minutes I played on it by myself. They have this thing that you sit on, and once you turn yourself around a ton of times - sitting or standing - it spins really fast and it's so much fun! But, my favorite was that they now have swings, something they didn't have before. Swings are my favorite things ever. I swang for a while, and call me lame, but I had so much fun and I felt so...free! I felt like a little girl again, and that was such a cool feeling, because I felt like I did when I was carefree, had no strong emotions, and just played all day long. So many memories popped into my head as I swang. I felt like all my flaws just flew away in the cold breeze. It was great.

I think I'm going there every week now, if not every day. Yay, Clubhouse!

Target never fails to keep me entertained.

So the other day, my mom and I went to Target. I was so dang excited, I hadn't been in a long time and I was stoked to have some Target-shopping-time. One of my favorite things.

Anyways, I found a few fun things I wanted to try on, so off to the dressing rooms I go! As I started trying things on, I hear singing. No, not from the loudspeaker up above, or someone blasting an iPod or something, but actual, real-life singing. Turns out a girl who was in the dressing room across from me, who sounded like 18ish, had put her friend on loudspeaker on her phone and asked her to sing to her. "Dang girl," I thought. "That's just low. If only she knew that people are listening to her right now."

But then they start having this full-on, heart to heart conversation after the girl on the speakerphone serenades her for another 5 minutes. "So, like, I'm trying on this dress right now and like, it does absolutely nothing for my bust, I mean really," Dressing room girl says.
"Oh, well then don't get that one!" Speakerphone girl says. "Like..why are you getting a dress anyway?"
"Well, I'm taking (don't remember the name, so I'm making one up if you don't mind) Scotty to the wedding next weekend."
"Oh my goshh, like you can't invite your boyfriend to a wedding, that type of thing just scares guys, especially when the wedding is in Mexico."
"Oh my gosh, you know I wouldn't take him all the way down to Mexico with me! No, I'm talking about the wedding here, jeez."
"Oh well thank goodness, well I guess that's okay then, whatever."

Etc., etc. Really girls? I mean really? Are you both really that confident to spill your stories out like that to each other when there could possibly be like 10 people listening? Even if it's entertaining, it's none of our buisness. Seriously.

Oh, the adventures of Target. You're never bored.

Track & Field

Yep, I'm joining this spring at my school. Track & Field.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
1) the indorphins are always great and make me happy
2) good exercise
3) I'll meet a lot of people
4) they say it looks good on college apps.?

Cons:
1) I get tired after running for a while
2) I have to stay after school most of the time to run and do track and field-y things
3) I'm really nervous that I won't do good and will be running behind everyone
4) I'm not in shape
5) I'll be doing soccer at the same time with AYSO, so it'll be pretty difficult to do two sports and have to deal with school

Please pray for me, that I get more pros out of this then the cons. I just want to have fun, meet new friends, and get good exercise, and please pray that it doesn't interfere with my school work because I'm lazy enough with that as it is. I hope this'll be a good experience! (:

Invisible Children Screening

Tonight was the night of the IC Club movie screening, and it went great! We were supposed to watch the original IC movie (some of you may have seen at Thousand Pines?) but since it was a school night, and the original is 1 hour and 15 minutes. we watched a shorter movie. It wasn't as good as the original in my opinion, but it was still good.

Anyway, this is the first year we've had the Invisible Children Club at my school, and like I said before, tonight was our fundraiser, our first big one. Since this club is new, not very well known, and it was a school night, we didn't expect much people to be there. We set a goal to make 400 to 500 dollars.

But guess what?! 90 people showed up, AND!

we made 1,100+ dollars!

Seeing the look on all the club-members faces was such an amazing feeling...everyone was so shocked and jumping up and down and hugging and it was just great! It made me so happy to think that this money will help little children for their school's.

If we made this much money this year, think of how much we'll make in the years to come! (:

pleasereadpleasereadpleaseread

Oh, hi friends! I want to tell you really quick about what's happening THIS Thursday (January 10) at Capo Valley High School. Right now, you're most likely not doing anything, and just spending your free time on the internet, and not being productive at all. So please, if you will, just hear me out.

So, this Thursday at Capo, we're having a screening of the Invisible Children Movie at 6:30 that evening. At my school, I'm part of the Invisible Children's Club, or ICC, and basically we're trying to spread awareness of the troubles in Uganda, and all the world. This screening is a fundraiser to raise money for the Schools for Schools program that we're trying to help out. It raises money for the children in Uganda so they can have school supplies, uniforms, and a nice school to go to in general. But if you want to go, don't feel like you're expected to pay anything, this fundraiser is FREE! It's only if you want to donate that you would give any money, and trust me, you may want to after seeing this movie.

The movie you'll be seeing is quite the tear-jerker, I've seen it before...just so you know what to expect. It made me want to help out SO much when I first saw it! And guess what? Another way to donate money to this cause, at the screening we'll be selling bracelets, and I'm pretty sure T-shirts too! So make sure to bring some money!

Even if you can't come, spread the word! Your parents, uncles, grandparents, siblings, anyone can come. You don't even have to go to Capo, any students from any school are welcome!

You guys, trust me, it'll be an amazing experience where you can get the opportunity to know that you helped out children in a country that can't have things like we do, get some food, and have fun. So, please let me know if you want to be there, I'll give you more information (:

Top 10 Pictures of 2007

Late, I know. But here are my favorite pictures of 2007!
You have to know, that narrowing it down to only 10 was friggen hard for me. I have a million favorite pictures, but okay, I guess these are some of the classics (:

10) May. Pictured: the great Doug Elliott, Jordan. Location: Mariah Snyder (old c-group leader)'s wedding. Why: Doug Elliott, he's just my favorite.

9) May. Pictured: Kari, Andrea, Jordan. Location: Castille Elementary school, where we went to elementary school. Why: We're adorable.

8) June. Pictured: Chase, Tyler, Teddy, Rachel, Jordan, Krista, girl?, Shell. Location: Flo Jo Park as part of Strive retreat. Why: Our mission was to create a game with very odd and random objects (we won!) and the fact that our name was Jesus (pronounced hey-sues) in a Barrel and the Blind Dog Catcher.

7) June. Pictured: mannequin, Jordan, Nani. Location: Downtown Disney. Why: It's just a fantastic picture. That's it.

6) June. Pictured: (top) Jordan, Nani, cousins Leanne, Maria. (bottom) cousins Brittany, Jennah, Nikki, Rheanna. Location: Chicago, Illinois for my cousin Alyssa's wedding. Why: I lovelovelove this picture because it has almost all of my lovely girl cousins from Chicago in it, and it was such a fun night with all our costume attire that our Great aunt Maggie brought (:

5) July. Pictured: Jordan, cousins Betsy and Sarah. Location: Minnesota, Claton family's backyard, trampoline. Why: These girls make my life. This picture kind of describes our relationship together. They're my cousins, but I feel like they're my little sisters whenever we're together. 'Twas a very intense trampoline-jumping day (:

4) October. Pictured: Andrea, Jordan, Brittany, Torey, Nikki (missing, Kari). Location: Flo Jo Park, Homecoming pictures. Why: I love this, because our parents thought it'd be cute if we looked all laugh-y and smile-y and looked like we were laughing at each other. So, we fake laughed, but it was really stupid, so we ended up laughing anyway at our stupidness. Good times.

3) October. Pictured: my brother Justin and sister Nani. Location: sister's wedding at Newport Beach Marriott Hotel. Why: This is the most adorable picture I think I've ever seen/taken. I love my brother and sister!

2) October. Pictured: cousins Tanner, Brad, Jordan, Wyeth. Location: Newport Beach Marriott Hotel. Why: These boys are fantastic! I think this was our first picture with all of us together, and I always have such a fun time with them. Oh, what hilarious memories we have.

2.5) October. Pictured: matress. Location: Newport Beach Marriott Hotel. Explanation? Well, this may look like just an ordinary matress, and it is, but there's a story behind it. You see, I stayed a night in my three crazy Chicago cousins' (Tanner, Brad and Wyeth, pictured above) room while they were here for my sister's wedding, and there wasn't enough room for all of us in one little room (my aunt and uncle had to sleep in there too). So, around 12 or 1 in the morning, the three of them ran to a nearby cousin's room, manage to steal a matress for me to sleep on, and run back with it to the room. Aren't they the sweetest little darlings?

1) December. Pictured: Rachael, Jordan. Location: HSM Band Christmas Party. Why: Oh, that was such a great night..and look at our potato-y faces, just fabulous.

2007 was such a fun year! Have a happy 2008, please!
