I'm going to be an aunt-in-law

That's right! My sister-in-law is pregnant! She's my sister's husband's sister, Jeanda. She looks like she's 18, but she's 27 (:

Mrs. Sanchez, I love you already

I got a new English 1 teacher this semester. I used to have Mr. Miller. Now I have Mrs. Sanchez. I liked her at first, but she gives way more work and homework than Mr. Miller did. But I had to give her props for just being a really nice and cool teacher. I mean, the woman gave us candy on Valentines Day, her room has an African/jungle theme, and she's just an overall great person. But today, really put her at the top of my list. I was walking out of class at the end of the period, and I said, "Bye Mrs. Sanchez." and gave a little smile. She was like, "Bye Jordan. By the way, it's so great having you in my class, you're such a wonderful student, so thank you for that!" I was like well dang girl, anytime! Yay you, Mrs. Sanchez, yay you!

One thing I love most in life

I absolutely love being a witness to a proud moment in my friends' lives. Saturday I watched my friends Elise and Ian get baptised. It was amazing, and I'm so proud of you guys! (:

Story behind my URL

People have asked me, "What does your URL mean? It takes me forever to find out what it says..." It's http://everyonewantsaslinky.blogspot.com = everyone wants a slinky.
I know it's random, but you'll only get it if you've seen Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls. That's where I got it from. Just watch, and laugh.

Okay, so he says "everyone loves a slinky" but whatever, close enough.

A-list

A bunch of ya'll talk about how you like making lists, or make up lists in your head about what to write on your next blog entry. Well I do the same. In fact, I'll make one right now.

The following are the next things I would like to blog about:

1) top 10 things that I would like to accomplish in the year 2008
2) the story behind my URL
3) pre-viewed Blockbuster films
4) update on my brother/sister
5) the place that I just discovered I would like to have my wedding
6) first day behind the wheel
7) how I survived my first week of Track and Field
8) Invisible Children merch.
9) church wardrobe

These lovely little things will be blogged for you shortly (:

Sunday nights

I really don't like Sunday nights. I just don't. Call me a complainer, but I just don't like them. I have a problem where I get way too anxious for the next day, which is Monday, as in the start of a new week at school. I dread looking at the clock, because it seems that every time I look at it, another hour passes by, and school and homework and tests and teachers are just that much closer to me. Ew, not a pretty sight. Sometimes, I get this feeling in my head that I have to get so much stuff done before another week of school, because I think I won't have time when I have so much school work to do and such. So, on Sunday nights, I've attempted to clean out my entire closet (which never ends up happening by the way), I try to watch a ton of movies that I've been wanting to watch for a long time (that never happens either), I usually want to go to the gym because I'll feel like I'll have no time the rest of the week, sometimes I do all of the homework I had over the weekend (only sometimes, but who doesn't do that?), and the list goes on. Bottom line, I just get nervous for another long week ahead of me, and I don't think that's very normal.
This might only be me, but does this happen to anyone else? I mean, I'd really like to know, please, so I don't feel like I'm insane.

Pass the Cheer

Dear Starbucks,
I miss your red cups already. They put me in such a cheery mood everytime I had one of your delicious masterpieces. But, most of all, the quote on each cup was what I liked most. You did really good on that this year. I don't remember it all, but it went along the lines of...
"This Christmas season, instead of thinking about all the bad things, think of what really matters. When your at a stoplight, think of the red color as stopping and thinking about the important things. When you see the green light, think of that as going and doing good things for yourself and for others. Pay the toll for the car behind you, spend time with your family..."
That's all I can remember, but your quotes always inspire me. When I go to Starbucks and read the quote on my cup I think of it as my advice for the day. So, thank you Starbucks for doing what you do, and making people, like me, happy and inspired (:
Love, Jordan Gunderson
