I mean, no offense Ms. Hogan, but I really don't care about learning that a detritivore is an organism that feeds on plant and animals remains and other dead matter.

I got my braces off!

And then they put them back on :(

Okay here's the story:

Thursday, I went to the Orthodontist, and they said my appointment would be a little longer than usual because they had to re-position some of my brackets. Okay, whatever that means, I thought.
So I'm in the chair reading US weekly, when Dr. Staples (yes, that's my ortho's name, intimidating much?) tells me he's taking my front 6 braces off! I was like WHAT?! But then he says, we're taking them off, cleaning them, then putting new brackets on those 6 teeth and re-positioning them, so you're teeth will move faster. I was like, ugh! Well thanks a lot Dr. Staples for getting me all hyped up and then breaking my heart!
So they took off my front 6 braces. It was such a weird feeling not having anything there! They asked me if I wanted to see them in the mirror, but I told them no, because I'd be too sad to see what my teeth look like braces-less and then having to get them back on. But Dr. Staples wears glasses and I could kind of see the reflection of my little teeth. They looked so pretty :(
"Oh Jordan, you look so much older with no braces," Dr. Staples said.
Yeah Staples, thanks a lot.

Oh, just wait until I get my braces off for real!
I don't know when that will be, but I do know I'm on my last wire, so it'll be in a few months! Yes, I can't wait!

A lot is happening so soon

I'm really excited for the next couple months. Here's what's on my schedule so far:

Tomorrow: Knotts with my Choir class!
Thursday thru Monday: I'll be in Missouri with my parents to visit my sister and brother-in-law!
In 2 weeks my brother comes HOME!!!!!!!! 13 days from today! Oh my gosh I'm so so so excited, I haven't seen him since November and have only talked to him a few times! It'll be so great!
In 20 days: SCHOOL'S OUT! SUMMER! YES!

Plus, Worship conference, Servant Leadership conference, possibly Ojai in August, a Vegas trip, Palm Springs trips (hopefully!), and just all the great joys of summer. Oh gosh I'm so excited for everything that'll be happening so soon!

I'm most excited to see my brother and sister though! I can't wait til the end of July cause that's when my entire family will be together after about 9 months! Crazy! (: Thank you God for letting time pass by so quickly!

RIP Red Velvets

You know them, you love them <-- if not, I recommend them!
Yes, Sprinkles cupcakes, they're delicious, am I right? Yes I am.
I was so excited last week when mother brought me home some of these delightful Red Velvet flavored creations. There were four in the box, and one of them was glutton free for my mom because she's allergic to wheat, which was great! Now me and my mom and dad could ALL eat them in harmony.
The day she brought them home I was full from dinner, and only had half of one. A couple days later I remembered after school that those little guys were still sitting all by their lonesome in the fridge. Oh! Yes! I said to myself. So I went down there, opened the fridge...no little Sprinkles box...look in the little drawers below...no sign of Red Velvet anywhere....
After I clench my chest and take a few quick gasps of air I dial mother.
Mom: "No honey, I didn't throw them away, call your dad it must've been him...”
I call dad: "Oh sorry sweetie, I had one the other day, but put them right back, call your mom, she must've threw them out."
Are you kidding me?
Parents, really...you broke my heart.
The world may never know what became of those little joys in my life.

Today a boy opened and held a door open for me. My hands weren't full of books, or anything like that. He just did it to be nice I guess.
Oh, I felt like a little princess. Thank you, kind boy.

10 reasons I'm so so happy!

1) I just found out tonight at soccer practice that we only have two weekends of games left and then we're DONE! FINALLY! 7 years of AYSO, and I'm never going back, never!

2) Track is also over! I'm kind of sad about that one, because it was really fun, and I felt great after the workouts, but I really need a break after having it every day after school. Since Track is 6th period, all we have to do is check in with Coach Sayles, sit around and do whatever we want either on the bleachers or in Sayles' room for an hour and a half. It's nice, cause I can get my homework done, listen to music, chit chat with friends, etc. I wish we could leave school, but we're not allowed until 2:30. But oh well, sitting doing nothing is better than sitting in a boring classroom learning and 2:30 is 15 minutes before everyone else gets out, yeah girl!

3) My Biology teacher said we won't be having any tests until about a week or two after STAR tests are over, which is about 3 to 4 weeks. Phew! HUGE relief!

4) I'm really excited about being with my best friends and more church friends at Tesoro next year! I'm really excited to just get a fresh start at a new school..it'll be great! (:

5) I thought about it today, and in less than a year, I will have my licsence (lisence? or liscence? I can't spell). That is such a crazy feeling!

6) Alanna and Jared are getting married so so soon! Wooo!

7) My brother comes home in 33 dayssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8) Tomorrow I'm seeing my school's musical with my mom and Amanda! I'm so excited it'll be fabulous!

9) I have Choir and Track banquets coming up soon, and I'm really excited to dress up all pretty and take pictures with my fantastic friends (:

10) 49 days (including weekends) until SUMMER! 35 days (excluding weekends) until SUMMER!
