my Grandma, my love

Okay, so we all go out with our grandmothers for dinner every once in a while right? Well, tonight was more entertaining than most lately. See, my grandma always eats, and always tells us how she's getting older and older and is afraid she won't last on this earth much longer. My grandma is a trooper and always has been a strong woman, and I know nothing like that will ever happen to her in a long time. Anyways tonight, she was just hilarious, I love her! She made my night with these simple words:

"The skin that used to be on my upper body is now in the middle of my body."
"My doctor says I have GREAT hips."
"Well, I suppose I could just take the souflee (dessert) - with the two sauces it came with - in the same box as my lamb chops?"
(Justin my brother), "The color TV came out when you got married, mom and dad."
(Grandma saying to him), "Justin, honey, the TV came out when your grandfather and I got married."

Oh goodness, my Grandma always cracks me up and I love her to death and usually makes my day whenever I see her.

High School Musical 2

My likes:
- The kiss in the very end! (it made me so angry that they never kissed in the first one, and I was so happy that they finally decided to! yay!)
- Some of Gabriella's outfits :)
- Troy and Gabriella being cute with each other the whole movie
- Absolutely cracking up at the part where Troy is singing very angrily by himself about Gabriella and why she doesn't like him anymore or something like that...hilarious!!!
- I was really suprised when I saw Miley Cyrus in the ending at the pool scene...
- Ryan getting the spotlight instead of Sharpay...that was so cute! He deserved it!

My dislikes:
- The music was okay, but I really think everyone will definetely remember the first HSM soundtrack more. Nothing really popped about these new songs to me
- Sharpay was too mean!
- Vanessa Hudgen's is not the best actress around - sorry if I'm being too critical

All in all, I really liked HSM2. I really think I liked it more than the first one. Of course it was cheesy, but you have to admit, it was cute and entertaining :)

yes, it's true i have a playlist on my blog and it's pretty exciting if you ask me. i have about 30 songs on there right now...yes i know it's a lot haha but i couldn't narrow it down. lots of those are really old favorites that i still love listening to to this day, so i thought i'd share some with you all.

although some of these songs i only just started liking, like "When You're Gone," by Avril Lavigne. i listened to the lyrics from a friend's myspace and then i saw the video and literally cried. mostly the parts with the military guy and the old man and the crying and ahhhh! it was such a tear jerker, my gosh! i thought after my little description you might like to see it, so here it is:

hello everyone! so sorry i'm really behind on my blogging, but i've been sick. i know, sad day!

hume lake was soooo much fun! i had such an amazing experience!!! there were so many fun moments, and i'm sure i'm gonna forget a lot, and everything's gonna be really out of order, but that's okay.

- me and rachael rosner are gonna live in Oildale, CA when we grow up!
- the billion hour drive
- our will turner mascot :)
- dressing up in our cheetah attire for spirit day
- getting second to last place in rec (27th!) and being proud of it :)
- seeing all of God's beautiful creations up there
- the amazing stars at night...there were like a million! it was so gorgeous!
- being in a cabin with kylee (counsoler), heather leith, rachael, lauren brady and chelsea labelle
- watching and listening to heather and rachael make ukeliele's out of dollar bills...one of the most hilarious things ever!
- being an ingemar! and on the prak team!!!
- there was actually good food! i really liked it
- paintballing and only getting hit once in the leg
- right after paintballing, jumping in the lake in our dirty clothes and swimming
- the amazing chapels and worship by campaign
- victory circle the last night
- chelsea accepting Christ!!!!! and screaming all night in our room and sugarpine 3 girls getting mad at us
- tripping about 7 times and falling and scraping my knee once haha
- and of course hanging out with my lovely cabin girls, krista, pierce, jp, taylor, grant, nick, taylor i, rachel, allie, ariel, cory and everyone else...i had so much fun with you all!
- pierce trying to blob me, and i only went like a foot in the air
- the blob in general and the swinging rope...so much fun!
- pierce singing 1,2 step for me and heather and the song from hocus pocus
- growing closer to Christ and learning so much more about my faith and my walk with Him.

unfortunatly the last two days i got sick with a fever and reallly bad headache, but other than that it was such a good time! i'm so looking forward to next year! i might post pictures a little later too, so keep a lookout for those.

i'm still really sick believe it or not :( i don't have a fever but a really bad cough and throat problems. ughhh it never ends, but i'm getting better. i'm really excited this friday i'm going to utah with my parents to see my sister and her fiance's family! i'm soooo excited to see her! we're gonna plan wedding stuff and it's gonna be soo fun!!! yayyyyy!!!

hume lake!

ohh wow i'm sooo excited for hume lake! i'm finally going tomorrow!!! i was on a waiting list for a long time and then finally two weeks ago they called me and told me that i was able to go cause lotsa people dropped out! yayyyyyyyyy!!!! i'm so excited!!! wow God is great isn't he? haha yesss he iss.

please pray for a save travel to hume and that every student is changed in an amazing way and know that God is their one and only God. and of course, that everyone has a blast! :)

how cool to be on the one dollar bill! i mean, a lot of people have a one dollar bill...people could look at me every day and be like, "she was pretty cool"

i think she has a legendary singing voice and has been in some of the most amazing movies ever known!

3. Famous Athlete: flo jo
she was such an amazing athlete and lived in my neighborhood! she was totally unique...i would know...i did a report on her in 5th grade :)

4. Famous Musician: aretha franklin
who cares about her size? she was happy with herself and has wowed me with every song i've heard by her. she's incredible!


5. Christian mover and shaker: chris simning
he spoke at thousand pines 2006 summer camp last year and reached out to me more than everyone ever before. his story was so captivating and despite everything he's gone through, he still manages to be the most amazing Christ follower and role model to me to never give up on God, and keep your faith strong, no matter how icky your situation can be.

okay, it seems like a lot of people have already done this, but when i find out who hasn't, i'll tag them!

some exciting (and not so exciting) events

hi everyone! fist i'd like to say thank you to allison for helping me with my blog! you're so great!

second, i have a favor to ask of everyone. my big brother justin is in the marines and he's getting deployed to iraq on november 4th. yes, i know, it's totally scary! right now he's in some desert for training and he'll be there on and off until he leaves for good. you're prayers are so important to my family and for his safety so it'd be such a blessing to know that he's being prayed for. thank you so so much!!!!!

i have one more bit of exciting news to give you all. my sister nani is engaged!!!!!! ohhh my goshh i'm sooo excited you have no idea!!! my family and i love her fiance jason. he and my sister had been dating almost 3 years and have been through a LOT together and it's so great to see that they're finally going to spend the rest of their lives together! he also asked my dad's permission before he did it (what a gentleman!) here's a link to see the pictures of their engagement night (july 28th)

they were driving from park city, utah (where jason and his family live) to ephriam, utah (to where they met and went to college together). jason pulled the car into the parking lot of the church that they both met each other and he got out and told my sister to stay sitting on the seat so he coud read her a bible verse. he read 1 corinthians 13 (BibleGateway.com - Passage Lookup: 1 Corinthians 13) to her and said a few sweet things...and then pulled out the box. my sister was thrilled! and so were we when we found out when she said yes!

since my brother is leaving on november 4th, my sister really wants to have the wedding before he leaves. yeah, really soon. we're thinking the end of october...of this year. people think we're crazy, but it can happen! we've already done a LOT of planning in these past 4 or 5 days. i'll give you more updates later when we know more about it!

but for now, if you could just pray for:
my brother justin's safety
my sister nani's engagement and that we get all the planning done quickly and smoothly and that the wedding is perfect for she and jason.
